Stacked cardboard moving boxes ready in a bright room

Home and small-office moves

Every room, carefully carried.

Yarrow Loom plans your move room by room, wraps what matters, and places each piece where it belongs in your new home — so the first night feels settled, not stacked.

  • Furniture wrapped on site
  • Every box labelled by room
  • Floors and doorways protected
i. Plan

A walkthrough before anything moves

We look at your rooms, stairs and tricky pieces, then agree a clear plan and a written quote.

ii. Pack

Materials and hands as you need them

Pack everything yourself, let us handle fragile items, or hand over the whole house.

iii. Place

Set down where it belongs

Beds assembled, boxes in the right rooms and packing materials taken away with us.

How it works

From first look to last box

A steady, predictable rhythm, so you always know what happens next.

  1. Walkthrough & quote

In person or by video, we note large items, access and packing needs, then send a written, itemised quote.

  2. Packing day

If you have booked packing, the crew arrives before move day, labels every box by room and lists fragile items.

  3. Move day

Floors protected, furniture wrapped, the vehicle loaded in order so the heaviest, most-needed pieces come off first.

  4. Placed & settled

Everything goes to its room, beds and tables are reassembled, and we walk the home with you before we leave.

Our care standards

Handled like it’s our own home

Simple habits, done every time. They are written into every job, not saved for special requests.

  • Wrapped, not squeezed

Sofas, tables and mattresses are covered in clean blankets and fitted covers before they leave the room.

  • Floors and frames protected

Runners go down on floors and stairs, and door frames are padded before the first piece is carried.

  • Labelled by room

Colour-coded room labels on every box, so nothing ends up in the garage by accident.

  • Inventory you can check

A simple list of large and fragile items is shared with you, then ticked off together at delivery.

  • On time, or told early

You get an arrival window the day before, and a heads-up straight away if anything changes.

  • Left tidy

Packing paper, tape and empty boxes leave with the crew, not in your hallway.

Questions

Good to know before you book

Can’t see your question? Add it to the notes on your quote request and we’ll answer it with your quote.

How far ahead should I book?

Earlier is easier, especially for weekends and month-end dates. Send a request as soon as you have a likely date; we can adjust the plan if it moves.

How is my quote worked out?

Quotes are based on the size of your home, the distance, access at both ends and any packing or storage you add. Everything included is listed in writing.

What should I pack myself?

We suggest keeping documents, medication, jewellery and a first-night bag with you. Everything else can be left to us or packed by you — whichever suits.

Is there anything you won’t move?

We don’t carry flammable or hazardous materials, perishable food or live plants over long distances. We’ll flag anything else during the walkthrough.

Can you take apart and rebuild furniture?

Yes. Beds, dining tables and most flat-pack pieces are taken apart and rebuilt as part of the move. Let us know about anything unusual in advance.
